Isn't Ask Boz just the Usenet Oracle in drag?

Well. It finally happened. You caught us. And not only are we just like that site, we actually just steal old material from the Usenet Oracle and pretend it is ours. You see, the Usenet Oracle has been on the internet since 715 B.C., or something, so there is no possible way anyone will remember if we rip off an answer from the late 1390's. You know, most people didn't have computers, Europe was embroiled in the hundred years war ... people just didn't have time to wonder what the answer to "Why am I covered with horrible boils?" was. Which is ironic, if you really think about it, since the oracle could have probably gotten rid of the plague, the fuedal system, and Divine Right of Kings all at the same time.

And that's not all we stole! No, sir. We have also stolen all the advice from the Oracle at Delphi! When we're in a rush, or all hungover from a 10 day bender, there's nothing like slapping a little Delphic wisdom onto any old question. Perhaps you will think we are being mysterious or ironic, when once again, we are just mailing it in an betraying your punk tush!

Here be some examples!

    1. How should I go about choosing a mate?
"Seat yourself now amidships, for you are the pilot of Athens. Grasp the helm fast in your hands; you have many allies in your city."
    2. Can you offer me any cooking advice? I have guests coming in an hour.
"I count the grains of sand on the beach and measure the sea; I understand the speech of the dumb and hear the voiceless. The smell has come to my sense of a hard shelled tortoise boiling and bubbling with a lamb's flesh in a bronze pot: the cauldron underneath it is of bronze, and bronze is the lid."
    3. I'm at the divergence of two roads in a yellow wood. Which should I take? Yours, RF
"There are two roads, most distant from each other: the one leading to the honorable house of freedom, the other the house of slavery, which mortals must shun. It is possible to travel the one through manliness and lovely accord; so lead your people to this path. The other they reach through hateful strife and cowardly destruction; so shun it most of all!"

If you know of any other sites we should steal from, please let us know. We're so very tired of all of you and your questions. Cheers!
